Patrik graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno in 2007. He also completed a one-year study course in International Law and EU Law at the University of Salamanca, Spain.
Since graduating he has been working at JŠK, becoming a qualified lawyer in 2011.
He specialises in energy law, especially regulation and the law of renewable resources, having long advised Axpo, a leading European energy trader, on issues of Czech regulatory and contract law. He assisted REN Power in representation in disputes over the payment of support for electricity from renewable sources, including the successful representation of the client in cassation complaint proceedings before the Supreme Administrative Court. In addition, he is often involved in various acquisition transactions and structuring of legal issues in the case of complex projects. He participated in advising ČSOB on the financing of a number of renewable energy projects. In the past, he also represented AGEL in negotiating the lease of the Novojičín hospital.
