Roman Šťastný graduated summa cum laude from Charles University Law School in 1997. Between 1994 and 1995, he also studied French and European law at Université de Provence in France, and
between 1993 and 1998 studied at the International Relations School at the University of Economics in Prague. In 1998–1999, he completed an LL.M. program at the University of Michigan Law School in the USA.
In 1995, Roman started working at Linklaters (formerly Alliance of European Lawyers), an international law firm, where he worked as a junior lawyer, senior lawyer and managing associate until 2005. He has been a partner at JŠK (formerly Johnson Šťastný Kramařík) since 2006.
Roman regularly represents lenders, as well as borrowers, in various financial transactions and developers as well as investors in real estate transactions, including development, the structuring of equity investments and debt financing for new projects, and negotiating leases and sales of completed projects through the sale of shares or assets. Roman has also advised various public or semi-public entities on the procurement of their financing.
